About the organization:

Camp Glow is a four-day firefighting camp for self-identifying women and non-binary youth aged 13–18, taking place July 23–26, 2026. Delivered in partnership by the Orillia Fire Department, Ramara Fire Rescue Services, and Oro-Medonte Fire & Emergency Services, the camp highlights firefighting as a career path. Campers gain hands-on exposure to fire suppression, medical response, auto extrication, fire prevention, investigation, and communications. The program is free and includes meals, snacks, and refreshments each day. Camp Glow’s mission—“GLOW”—emphasizes growing future leaders, lifting one another up, creating opportunities for empowerment, and fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment.
