Please briefly describe the project and how the funds will be used:

This funding will develop, print and distribute essential community resource materials, specifically a housing resource guide and a food access guide, addressing housing instability and food insecurity. These printed tools will provide timely, accessible information for residents lacking reliable digital access, helping them navigate available supports. The housing guide will outline services for achieving housing stability, while the food guide will direct users to local meal programs and food banks, ultimately strengthening early intervention efforts and reducing barriers to essential services.

How many people will benefit from the project directly and indirectly within the geographic area covered by the CFOA:

Information Orillia has about 400 “new faces each month looking for assistance in finding food, shelter, etc.
Recent research show that housing is the third highest request.
“Renoviction” is displacing people from their apartments that would normally be housed.

Official Partners – Orillia Public Library, City Of Orillia, Lighthouse
Partnerships with Purpose – Sharing Place, Empower Orillia, Common Roof, Jubilee House, John Howard, local churches

Please describe any in kind contributions/volunteer labour connected to this project:

• Information Orillia – collating and updating food and shelter information, distributing printed material to other agencies and city and township locations
• Kyle Peacock Tariff Consulting – developing camera ready material for printers
• Distribution by partner agencies

How will success be evaluated?

• Feedback and interest in product by clients
• Definite interest by partner agencies in its availability for them to distribute. “ We can definitely use those cards”
